Joy KMT is founder of the Tabernacle of Immaculate Perception, a performing and healing arts group for women of color. She is also co-founder of Ujamaa Collective, an organization dedicated to economic justice for women of African descent. Joy is a healer, artist, activist, lover and mother, and is a Macdowell Fellow and recipient of the Heinz Fellowship.
